Winter tire or All-Season tire?

When the snow starts falling in Indiana, you want to be sure your tires are going to do the job. Most cars come standard these days with an all-weather tire but should you consider a winter weather tire?

The right tire is important whether your vehicle is rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Winter tires are made to grip in the snow and ice and may give you more peace of mind when driving in those conditions.

You can check to see if your tire is a winter tire by looking at the sidewall. If you see a mountain and snowflake symbol, you have a winter tire. It's also important to make sure you are keeping the proper air pressure in your tire, which can also be found on your tire sidewall.

Our service department at Currie Motors Ford of Valpo will be happy to check your tires and do any other winter maintenance you might need. Call us today for an appointment.
