What Is the Ford X Plan?
The Ford X Plan provides non-Ford employees with the opportunity to drive a Ford vehicle. Selected individuals (friends and neighbors) can either be sponsored by a Ford employee or may be eligible as an employee of a partner company or organization. X Plan programs that recognize an ongoing relationship include Friends & Neighbors, Supplier Partner Recognition and Fleet Account Employee Appreciation.
Who Is Eligible for the Ford X Plan?
Friends, neighbors and Ford partners can qualify for the Ford X Plan. Eligible Partner Recognition employees and retirees may generate up to two PINs per calendar year that can be put toward the purchase or lease of a new Ford for them or members of their households. Full details include:
- Employees (full time, part-time and contract), retirees and spouses of eligible Partner companies (suppliers, fleets, etc.) and members of specific organizations or groups.
- Residents of the same household as listed above (driver’s license required for proof of residency).
- Participation is by invitation only as determined by Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company. Not all suppliers, fleets, etc. are eligible.
- Friends and neighbors
- Eligible Ford employee or retiree may sponsor up to four PINs per year for any friend or neighbor.
What Is the Ford D Plan?
An eligible Ford dealership employee may generate up to two PINs per calendar year that can be used toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle for themselves or an eligible family member. Active dealership employee participants must also be entered in STARS to qualify. The following dealership employee family members are eligible for D-Plan pricing:
- Spouse
- Parents (including stepparents)
- Spouse’s parents
- Grandparents
- Spouse’s grandparents
- Sons and daughters (including in-laws and stepchildren)
- Grandchildren
- Brothers and sisters (including in-laws, half and step)
- Same-sex domestic partners covered under the health care plan
- Immediate family members of eligible same-sex domestic partners (as defined under AZ-Plan)
The dealership must also retain a copy of the following for proof of eligibility:
- A completed and signed AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement listing the eligible sponsor or company.
- A copy of the factory invoice showing the New Vehicle Purchase Program price on the line labeled “AXZD-Plan.”
- A copy of proof of the customer’s relationship to the sponsor provided by the eligible certified dealership employee
- The D-Plan Checklist
- A dealership paycheck stub from the eligible dealership employee at the time of pin generation.
