163 new Explorers in stock across all 6 trims — Active, ST-Line, Tremor, Platinum, and ST. Real pricing. Real selection. Worth every mile of US-30.
More inventory means more choices. More choices means you drive home in the Explorer you actually want — in the color, trim, and configuration you wanted — not the one they happened to have. Snapshot as of April 17, 2026.
Regional comparison figures reflect publicly listed Explorer availability at Indiana and Illinois Ford dealerships as of April 17, 2026. Actual availability varies day-to-day.
We stock the Explorer the way Michiana families actually shop for it — deep across every trim, in the colors and AWD configurations Indiana winters actually demand, with real pricing published online. The 2026 Explorer adds two new trims (Active 100A and the off-road Tremor) and removes the V6 from the Platinum. Here's what that means for you — and why South Bend shoppers are quietly making the drive.
We're one highway from South Bend, Mishawaka, and Granger. On a $40K–$57K SUV decision, the drive pays for itself in selection alone — before you add in better pricing. Many Michiana families tell us the trip felt shorter than their last local dealer visit.
Active 100A. Active. ST-Line. The new Tremor. Platinum. ST. We stock every trim in meaningful depth — plus RWD and Intelligent 4WD configurations, bench and captain's chair layouts, and the colors you actually want. No settling. No "this is what we have left."
Every Explorer on our inventory page has real pricing attached to it — online, before you pick up the phone. No "call for price" games. No contact forms to unlock a number. Below-MSRP offers and live incentives are visible before you leave South Bend.
Every Explorer trim offers available Intelligent 4WD (standard on Tremor). With six drive modes — Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail/Off-Road — the Explorer handles lake-effect snow and South Bend winters the way Ford engineered it to.
For 2026, Ford expanded the Explorer lineup to six trims with the addition of the value-focused Active 100A and the all-new off-road Tremor. The V6 was removed from the Platinum. Here's the real breakdown of what's available right now across our inventory.
Ford made three meaningful moves with the 2026 refresh: (1) added the new Active 100A entry trim for value-focused buyers, (2) introduced the all-new Tremor off-road model with standard 4WD, Torsen differential, and all-terrain tires, and (3) removed the V6 from the Platinum — which now comes exclusively with the 2.3L EcoBoost. The wireless charging pad was also deleted across the lineup. If V6 power is a requirement, the ST (standard) and Tremor (optional) are now your only paths.
Two engine choices. Our team will match you based on what you actually do with the vehicle.
Standard on Active 100A, Active, ST-Line, Tremor, and Platinum. Turbocharged efficiency with real-world pep. Up to 20 city / 29 highway (RWD) or 20/27 (4WD). The daily-driver Explorer engine for the vast majority of Michiana buyers.
Standard on ST. Available on Tremor as an option package. Genuinely quick for a three-row SUV — and the only path to V6 power in the 2026 Explorer. Paired with the 10-speed automatic and rear-bias AWD.
Both engines pair with Ford's 10-speed automatic transmission. Smooth, responsive, and built for the way families actually drive — whether that's school pickup, Notre Dame football Sundays, or towing a bass boat to Lake Michigan.
Every 2026 Explorer comes standard with the Class III Trailer Tow Package — 5,000-pound maximum towing, 7-wire harness, and both 4-pin and 7-pin connectors. Pro Trailer Backup Assist is available on higher trims.
Real numbers, published up front. Choose the path that works for you — Lease OR Finance, stackable with cash programs below. While other Michiana Ford dealers hide their specials, here are the live Explorer offers waiting 45 minutes down US-30.
The drive from South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, and Goshen is one highway — US-30 — and the selection and pricing waiting at the end of it is why so many Michiana families make the trip.
If you're coming from the Michiana corridor, you already know how thin Explorer inventory runs locally — and how often the question "what's my actual price?" turns into a phone call instead of a number on the page. At Currie Motors Ford of Valpo, 163 Explorers in stock means you don't special order, don't settle, and don't wait. Call us at 219-234-2168 before the drive and we'll hold the Explorer you want until you arrive.
